A practitioner-level course addressing the critical challenge of ESG data management — the operational backbone that determines whether sustainability reporting is credible, auditable, and decision-useful. As UK companies prepare for mandatory sustainability disclosure under the forthcoming UK Sustainability Disclosure Standards (UK SDS) and face increasing demand for assured ESG data from investors, rating agencies, and regulators, the quality of underlying data systems becomes a competitive differentiator and a compliance necessity. This course covers the full ESG data lifecycle: from understanding the fragmented data landscape across environmental, social, and governance metrics; through designing data collection systems that automate capture from operational sources; to implementing data quality controls, building audit-ready data pipelines, selecting and implementing reporting platforms, and establishing data governance frameworks that comply with DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) requirements. You will learn practical approaches to solving the most common ESG data challenges: manual spreadsheet processes, inconsistent methodologies across business units, data gaps in Scope 3 supply chain metrics, and the growing demand for real-time ESG data from stakeholders.
Developed by practitioners with hands-on experience implementing CSRD, EU Taxonomy, SFDR, UK SDR, and TPT frameworks.
